Puppies 1st Birthday Cake Smash

In honor of National Puppy Day today I’m sharing my first ever cake smash session I did last weekend with my PUPPY for his 1st Bday!!! 🙂 This is Ollie and he is a Golden Retriever/Collie Mix. So that makes him a Gollie…Ollie the Gollie or as Instagram knows him bygollieollie. My 3 kids purchased him last summer with their money and of course get the title of Ollies parents…which makes makes me Ollies grandma…yeah I don’t like that very much lol! I am wayyyyy to young to be a grandma lol!  Anyways, it was our sweet puppies 1st Birthday on the 15th and my kids asked if we could have a  birthday party for him? Because I’m a photographer and can find a reason to turn anything into an opportunity to get my camera out I said “ummm yeah we can have a party for him, but we need to have a cake smash session also”!

Poor baby wasn’t really sure why all of a sudden we were giving him full reign over a cake and letting him eat it while we watched and cheered him on…but he went with it lol! Ollie’s big brother Buddy (our 13 year old chocolate lab) of course had to crash the party and steal some of brothers cake. He wasn’t near as shy about it as Ollie. I guess he figured “I’m 13..I don’t know why there giving me a cake but gosh darn it I’m diving in before they come to their senses” lol!

Oh and yes this was a dog friendly cake I made for him!! I found a great recipe on line and they seemed to really enjoy it 🙂
